Risedronate is indicated for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.In postmenopausal women with osteoporosis, risedronate increases BMD and reduces the incidence of vertebral fractures and a composite endpoint of nonvertebral osteoporosis-related fractures.
