Tamsulosin capsules are indicated for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Rarely (probably less than one in fifty thousand patients), tamsulosin, like other alpha1 antagonists, has been associated with priapism. This condition can lead to permanent impotence if not properly treated.
Tamsulosin may cause side effects, such as; asthenia, dizziness, somnolence, insomnia, rhinitis and abnormal ejaculation. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor.
