Dextromethorphan is an antitussive, preventing or relieving coughing.Dextromethorphan is indicated for the relief of coughs and upper respiratory symptoms, including nasal congestion, associated with allergy or the common cold.
The normal dosage of dextromethorphan for adults is one tablet of 15 mg every 4 hours and for children, 6-12 years old, half a tablet every four hours as needed. Do not exceed six doses in any 24 hour period.
